About Us

Coordinated Youth and Human Services has been serving the area since 1944.

Our core values are:

  • Respect and dignity for all clients
  • Strong commitment to client services
  • Active involvement of CYHS Board members
  • Dedication to family, teamwork, and cultural diversity
  • Staff professionalism
  • Diligence in seeking new revenue sources

Our educational program focuses on serving special needs students with a staff of certified teachers, social workers, and para-professionals at the River's Edge Educational Facility. Students are referred by their home district.

The maternal health programs assist and promote healthy families by supporting pregnant women and their children through age 5. Nurses, nutritionists, case managers, and breastfeeding peer counselors offer services at both the Granite City and Wood River locations for residents of Madison County.

Those impacted by HIV and AIDS receive support and case management services through the Madison County AIDS Program (MadCAP). Education and confidential testing is also provided by MadCAP.
