Healthy Families Illinois

Healthy Families IllinoisMadison County Healthy Families is a program to assist first-time parents and their newborns. The purpose of Healthy Families is to support a relationship that promotes healthy child development, strengthens the parent-child relationship, and supports the parents as children’s first teachers. Healthy Families' services begin during the last trimester of pregnancy or right after the birth of the baby. A Family Support Worker visits mothers and babies in the home once a week. The home visit will change as mother and baby change.

Madison County Healthy Families works with existing WIC and Family Case Management Programs to enroll potential participants who will benefit the most from this type of program.
