Welcome to Maternal Health

Raising children to be happy and healthy is a challenge even for the most experienced parents. CYHS Maternal Child Health Programs are here to help with those challenges. Our dedicated staff provides support, encouragement, medical services, and a wide variety of programs to give pregnant women and children the best start.

The Women, Infants, and Children Program has registered nurses and nutritionists available on staff to help with guidance on nutrition and health for mothers and small children. The program also has certified lactation consultants and breastfeeding peer counselors available to help support breastfeeding mothers.

The Family Case Management Program assists with finding doctors, provides information on parenting, growth, and development of children, and understands the importance of prenatal care and immunizations. Registered nurses are available to assist with infants who have been born with health issues. The program also assists foster parents and caregivers through the process with the Department of Child and Family Services.
